In a nutshell – Most easily developed land has been built on, consequently many sites currently available on the market do have hazards and risks, in particular; Land Instability.
Slopes are put at risk by various influences that can lead to ground failure including; gravity, drainage, applied loads, site clearance, erosion and seismic action.
On these sites; stability considerations are therefore vital where proposed structures are located; above, on or below slopes, and the TMC site investigations for the Geotechnical Report will be scoped for the necessary slope stability analyses.
After the site fieldworks, TMC will then develop a ground model for the site including appropriate soil and ground parameters, essential to the slope stability assessment process.
Slope stability modelling is then undertaken using proprietary analysis software to determine Factors of Safety for both the existing and proposed developed site, allowing for differing groundwater scenarios, seismic conditions, and other factors.
Thereafter TMC will recommend the engineering solutions that may be required to safely develop your site.
